Last hitting minions and laning Empty Last hitting minions and laning

Everyone (hopefully) knows that last hitting any minion on the fields of rewards you with gold. It is not that simple.

When in a duo-lane (2 people), you should share last hits with you partner.
-unless the other is a hard carry or champion that requires lots of gold
-unless YOU require more gold

When in a duo-lane you should also keep map awareness when trying to last hit minions. When you do not simply try to last hit the minions in lane and try to deal as much damage as possible you "push". Pushing can be good at times but bad at other times. If there is a jungling champion or a "mia" (missing from lane) champion then you should not push because they could easily gank you for a free kill.
-If you are in a duo-lane against only one person then that typically means they have a jungler and you should not push but only try to last hit the minions in the lane. When a 2v1 lane you need to try and "zone" the opponent. This means to push them away from experience and gold from the minions using SPELLS. the reason for spells id they will not make the minions attack you which can deal a lot of damage at ealrly levels.
-If you are in a solo lane you need to evaluate your opposition. Judge the damage of their spells and damage output WHILE last hitting every minion possible. Doing this will allow you to make good decisions when they engage. The "solo-mid" champion is usually a carry which requires a lot of gold. If you last hit every minion and make good moves to kill your opponent then you should have quite a bit of gold. Also, while in middle lane you should try to balance the pushes of your opponent to keep the tower unharmed. You can balance a push by simply pushing yourself until the minion wave has reduced in size.

When in a 1v2 lane (usually top) you need to be careful. You may not be able to push since they have another person, but you need to get as many "safe" minion kills as possible. "Safe" minion kills are minions that are ready to be last hit but are decently far from the other champions. "Safe" minion kills are good in every lane combo.
-Try not to get zoned in a 1v2 lane since you will quickly fall behind on gold and experience. If you DO get zned then ask for a lane change with one of your teammates
-When in a 1v2 lane you want to stay near enough to the minions to at least gain the experience because you can get ahead in levels since it is only you in the lane
-Once you have outleveled (higher level than) your opponents you may arrange a gank with your jungler AS LONG AS THE ENEMY IS PAST THE MIDDLE OF THE LANE.
